I have been active my entire life. Through my childhood I was a dancer, in my teens I played soccer and ran track and I also skied (water & snow), ice skated, played golf and tennis. As an adult I love to learn new sports like sailing, yoga, rock climbing, boxing, and even circus arts. In 2007, I started working out at CrossFit Seattle Level 4-- the first CrossFit affiliate and I instantly felt at home with CrossFit. In 2009, I became a Level 1 Coach and began coaching at CrossFit 206, where I was a trainer until it closed in 2017.
I am the founder of Primarily Paleo, where I counsel groups and individuals on how to make small tweaks in their nutrition in order to achieve big changes in how they feel and how their bodies perform. My clients range from boxers looking to make weight safely, to families seeking to improve their nutritional quality, to those suffering from illness, such as autoimmune disease, diabetes, cancer, and common digestive disorders. I have appeared on the Seattle Q13 Morning show as a Health Contributor and I am also part of Dr. Loren Cordain’s The Paleo Diet Team, where you can find articles I authored for The Paleo Diet.
I subscribe to the mantra that you can't out exercise poor nutrition, and I work with clients to develop diet plans that support their individual health goals and preferences. I passionately believe in the life-changing benefits of functional fitness. My goal as a coach is to inspire individuals to make long-term lifestyle changes, and I use CrossFit’s scalable intensity and commitment to functional movement for individuals of all ages and abilities. I am excited to be a part of the Emerald City CrossFit Team, where I look forward to coaching both groups in class and individuals privately.
