TO SMOOTHIE OR NOT
In the battle to get in our meals and make gym time around our busy schedules. Sometimes we can't just spend all day chewing! If you read last weekend I do believe Macros matter in conjunction with a calorie intake. This does not mean I believe if it fits your macros eat it. That is where the smoothie comes in. If I need to eat 589g of carbs a day and not feel like crap for the day or for my next workout I am most likely not going to do it via eating 5 pounds of salad or 6 slices of bread. So instead enter the smoothie! Here I can put two times as many leafy greens than I would ever want to chew and still get the CHO(Carbohydrate). Also I can throw fruits in there for more CHO and a little sweetness! Even better also throw in your protein and you have the all in one POWER SMOOTHIE! Below are some recipes from around the internet to get you started.
DON'T FORGET! Water and greens first for a spin. Then Add things one at a time otherwise it can get pretty hard to get it all in a smoothie style and things won't get shredded.
