I wasn't particularly athletic growing up. When I joined the Navy after high school, I only weighed 130 lbs. (Many wondered how I even got in!) I began a rigorous regiment of push ups, pull ups, sit ups, and burpees, gaining 20 lbs and becoming stronger than ever. Until then, I thought I would always be a skinny, uncoordinated kid.

Fast forward many years, I am a well-rounded athlete. Along with being a devoted practitioner of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Thai boxing, I am also an avid endurance competitor. I've completed numerous triathlons, open water swims, and marathons, even qualifying for the Boston Marathon.

I am firm believer that athletes are made, not born. It is this belief that motivated him to earn both his CrossFit Level-1 and Russian Kettlebell certifications. I am excited to helping others become the best athletes they can be!
