Sport has been a way of life for as long as I can remember. From playing every sport under the sun with my brother throughout my childhood, waking up with my dad to hit the gym at 5 am everyday, Varsity Soccer, and intramural sports throughout college--I could always be found in the gym or on the field!

A few years after becoming a Personal Trainer a friend recommended we try out a workout from this “CrossFit” program he had heard of. The WOD happened to be “Murph”.  1.5 hours later, with bloody hands and a bruised ego, I was hooked! I quickly found a job as a CrossFit Coach and the rest is history!

10 years in to my coaching career, I see CrossFit as way more than the best fitness program around (which it is, by the way).  CrossFit brings people together and it changes people’s lives. CrossFit brings people from all walks of life together in pursuit of a common mission - let’s get fit.  And on that wonderful fitness journey, we need each other to be the best we can be. We need encouragement, accountability, support, friendship. We need fitness to be bigger than “me”.  And when fitness becomes a team sport and we reap all of the amazing benefits of being in community, we start to make a lifestyle change. We begin to live out fitness as a lifestyle. Working out becomes fun rather than a chore.  Going to the gym is liking going to our second home, rather than an uncomfortable “to do” item.

I love CrossFit because it brings all of the above perfectly together. Community, teamwork, camaraderie, fitness, and a place where you feel at home no matter what.  As a CrossFit Coach, I get to share my passions for fitness and building community with others!
