Occupation: I straighten teeth and go to school
In general, what is your athletic background? I've always been pretty active in sports. Swimming, Track and Field, Cheer, and Basketball has always been my main sport. I really enjoy being outside hiking and skiing and going on any type of adventures.
How did you learn about Emerald City CrossFit (ECCF) ? The internet of course... I dropped in for a trial class and the only thing on the board was a 2k row for time. It sucked SO BAD but I met Kari, she was awesome; and I wanted to do it again.
How has ECCF changed your life, lifestyle, and level of fitness? I don't drink nearly as much as I used to.. working out hungover is for savages only
What do you like most about ECCF? I know everyone always says this but it's really the people! This community is full of the most genuine, encouraging, nerdy, awesome folks and it's rad to spend time with people like that.
What is your favorite CrossFit movement? Snatch especially but anything without a wall ball
What is your least favorite CrossFit movement? Wall balls
Favorite WOD: Mobility with Mike
What are you currently doing to try to improve your nutrition? I'm doing the Macro challenge with Kate! It's awesome, I haven't eaten peanut butter in 3 weeks
Favorite movie: This is going to sound silly but I don't really watch movies and have never owned a TV - pass?
Favorite and/or current book: Outliers (currently)
Favorite music genre/artist: I really love all types of music but my rotations usually consist of country, 90's rock, alternative RnB, and I especially appreciate the early 2000's emo stuff like Brand New and Circa Survive.
What do you like to do outside the gym? brunch
In 10 words or less, what does CrossFit mean to you? Something new and challenging every single day!
